In February 2019, the Turley Pet Project was created. Co-founders Jamee and Robin saw a large unmet need in the Turley area and knew they needed to help. Turley, while in Tulsa County, is not within city limits so it receives no assistance from the city or city animal welfare services.

The Turley Pet Project distributes dry dog and cat food, as well as other supplies when they are available, twice a month to pet parents in need. Numerous low-cost spay and neuter procedures have also been scheduled for Turley pets through the program.

From June 2016 to April 2020, approximately 20,000 pounds of dog and cat food has been distributed to Turley residents and their pets.
